Welcome to my blog. I am Diamond Solomon. This blog was created to share the knowledge that God has given to me with you. MarriageMotherhoodMeals was inspired by the many roles I display in my household. To be a wife, mother, and chef (of my household) is such a joy and honor. I wouldn't trade these moments for anything else. As you read post or enjoy recipes, I pray that you too would find joy in the roles God has placed you in.
I have been married to my husband for 8 years. We met at a Christian sports camp and he didn't leave that camp without pursuing a relationship with me. God united us in marriage after 1 1/2 years of courting/engagement as I finished college. My husband and I believe that God created marriage, so it must be done God's way. We strive to look at the order of how God made Adam in the Garden of Eden to rule over the land and made Eve from Adam's side to be his helpmate. As we align ourselves in marriage with this in mind, it helps us to fulfill God's design for marriage. If you'd like to learn more, check out this post below.
Since I was young I've desired to have children. As I grew, I would babysit or nanny for other families which grew my desire even more. When we had our first child about a 1 1/2 years after getting married, I knew I wanted to stay home with our children. Psalm 127:3 says "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward." I believed this to be true as we continue to have children again and again. Our children are ages 6, 5,3 and 1. As we continue to have children our goal is to raise them to I'm honor and glorify God in everything, that they would be ready to spread Him who created us to all nations. My love language is food. I love creating unique dishes that my family and friends will enjoy. After having my first son we changed our diet a little as we stopped eating dairy, slowed down our meat intake, reduced usage of oil, incorporated more fruits and vegetables into our meals and stopped looking at food to always satisfy whatever we want but to see what our body actually needs. We also stopped purchasing sugar so when I make some of my favorite desserts it's going to be with dates, maple syrup or honey. Our goal is to fuel our body with nutrients that benefits us now and in the future. So check out these recipes below to see what cooking in our kitchen today.
